Heavy shower, just off target

In early October 2011 the Ernst Barlach Haus will become the stage for the sculptor, media and performance artist Georg Winter (*1962), who lives and works in Stuttgart and Budapest and teaches at the Saar Art Academy. Since the 1980s Winter has been one of the leading activists in the area of spatially oriented experimental art; his special field is staged exceptional situations at the border between art and life. He recently caused a stir during the Ruhr cultural capital year 2010, and will now catapult the Ernst Barlach Haus into a new orbit – towards a shower of meteorites.
