MAKING SURE THE MUSEUM ISN’T A MAUSOLEUM
Coordinating with our temporary exhibitions, we continually offer new presentations of our first-rate Barlach collection. At the same time we’re always glad when loans from our museum are shown elsewhere. Here you can find out which works are currently on loan and which ones you can see here in the Barlach Haus. Would you like to know if your favourite is among them? Ask us at firstname.lastname@example.org or +49 (0)40. 82 60 85
BARLACH ON THE MOVE
At the moment we’re cooperating with the Albertinum in Dresden, which is showing an extensive retrospective to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Ernst Barlach. This exhibition is essentially based on items from our collection: until 10 January 2021 around 125 works from our museum will be on show in Dresden, including 25 of our 29 wooden sculptures – a sensation!

BARLACH ON BOARD
Please bear in mind that because of the extensive loan to Dresden the presentation of our collection is currently limited. But along with the early oak sculptures Worried Woman (1910) and The Desert Preacher (1912) we are showing several bronzes sculptures, some of them in exquisite early casts. Also, on the museum facade you will find the larger than life-sized clinker figures The Singer and Woman in the Wind from the Community of Saints (1931/32).
